PEN World Voices Festival - Cabaret

Bill T. Jones is a New York-based choreographer and dancer. In 2007, he won the Tony Award for Best Choreography for his work on the Broadway musical Spring Awakening. His performance while he recited Dylan Thomas' "The Ballad of the Long-Legged Bait" was breath taking.

Bea Palya (Hungary) blends traditional Hungarian folk music with jazz, Gypsy, Indian, and Persian influences to develop a unique style.

Aleksandar Hemon was born in Sarajeve and now lives in Chicago. He read from his most recent novel, The Lazarus Project, which is due out in the US this month.

Wesley Stace, who performs under the name John Wesley Harding, is a novelist and a folk singer from Hastings, England. His first novel, Misfortune, was nominated for the Guardian First Book Award and shortlisted for the Commonwealth Writers and the James Tiptree, Jr. Award.

Swiss-American Erika Stucky is a musical and literary mix of Laurie Anderson, Frank Zappa, and Pippi Longstocking. Her works are a mix of entertainment, avant-garde jazz and pop music infused with American, Valais, and Dadist scraps of words.

PEN World Voices Festival - Believer Event

Todd Barry, comedian

Vladimir creates stories that are told through the use of ViewMaters.

The audience proceeds through the story via sound cues in the narration. Watching the entire audience clicking through at once was a lot of fun.
